The tokenization of real estate: an investment accessible to all
Through tokenization and the ability to split real estate into shares, RealT makes it easy for any type of investor to own real estate assets. At RealT real estate assets are represented on a blockchain by a distinctive digital identifier called a token. Tokenization is a method that converts rights to an asset into a digital token, similar to the traditional securitization process. Transferring information from a real-world asset to blockchain allows ownership rights to be transmitted and traded on a global, secure digital platform.
This mechanism also makes it possible to attract both investors with a short-term vision (3 to 5 years) and investors with a long-term vision (15 years minimum). If an investor wishes to withdraw from the project, RealT does not need to sell the property, as investors only have to sell their tokens.
