Which 2019 NBA Draft players will be free agents in 2023?

The 2019 NBA Draft players who will be restricted free agents in 2023

Reminder: a restricted free agent can go test the market and sign an offer made by another team, but the franchise in which he plays has the possibility of lining up to keep him.

• Cam Johnson: hyper valuable off the bench last season with the Suns, Johnson has not yet won an extension with Phoenix. It doesn’t matter, he will have the opportunity to prove his worth this season as a starter thanks to the expected departure of Jae Crowder.
• Grant Williams: role player par excellence with his defense and the very nice progress at 3-points that he has been able to demonstrate over the past two seasons, Grant Williams will once again try to make his contribution to help Boston reach the NBA Finals. The Celtics will in any case need it with the absence of Robert Williams III but also of Danilo Gallinari on the frontcourt. If he succeeds, Williams will have a few more arguments when he returns to the negotiating table.
• PJ Washington: between the sores of some and the legal worries of others, it’s a bit of a mess with the Hornets and we think that the season is likely to be long. But in the midst of all this, PJ Washington – who is neither in prison nor in the infirmary – will try to pull out of the game to boost his rating for the signing of his next contract.
• Matisse Thybulle: as well known for his enormous defensive qualities as for his big limits in attack, Matisse Thybulle has not yet been extended by the Sixers. But if he manages to contribute well this season to help Philadelphia reach the top, maybe he will get his extension.
• Rui Hachimura: important season ahead for the Japanese. After a campaign of only 42 games last year (he had been absent for a long time for personal reasons), Rui wants to prove that he can take a real step in his fourth year to convince the Wizards to bet on him for the long term. There’s a bit of design in Washington, so can the 9th pick of the 2019 Draft do well?
• Coby White: is Coby White’s future really in Chicago? The Bulls have decided not to extend it and we wonder if it still enters the plans of Arturas Karnisovas, even if Lonzo Ball is injured. The nugget Ayo Dosunmu is quite popular, there is also Alex Caruso and Goran Dragic on the backcourt, not to mention the rookie Dalen Terry. Coby should still have playing time this year because the talent is there, we just have doubts about the willingness of the Bulls to invest dollars to keep him.
• Jason Hayes: Possessing a few pans on his resume, Jaxson Hayes was not extended by the Pels. The pivot with calves of fire nevertheless has a very interesting potential and showed during the last postseason that he could bring to the Pelicans in games at stake. What to win a future contract with NOLA during the Free Agency 2023? Maybe. Otherwise for the record, we just remember that Hayes will start the season in the infirmary because of an elbow injury.
• RAdm Reddish: came to New York to have more opportunities than at the Hawks, Cam Reddish has never really entered into Tom Thibodeau’s plans since joining the Knicks in early 2022. No wonder he didn’t get an extension of contract. We rather wonder what is his future for this guy…
• Nickeil Alexander-Walker: NAW is one of those many players who find themselves today in the full reconstruction project of Utah without knowing if he is really part of it. No extension, it’s quite logical, go to the Free Agency 2023 to see what its future will be like.
