Le pivot star NBA des Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic, a choqué via sa dernière déclaration au sujet du MVP

Trade to the West, all-time record in sight!

A few hours before the opening of free agency, some league franchises are already remodeling their roster for this deadline. This is particularly the case of a cador from the West, whose latest recruit could write the history of the league!

The free agent market will only open this Thursday in the NBA, but is already causing a stir in the league. Indeed, several franchises are already beginning to prepare for the race for free agents by performing a few moves. This is particularly the case for the Knicks, who prepare heavy for the days to comebut also from a top team from the West, which has already completed its second transfer of the summer.

New recruit to the Nuggets, future all-time record holder?

A few weeks ago, Denver launched hostilities by realizing a first transfer to get rid of a veteran. At the time, this trade had not really shaken the NBA planet. On the other hand, the one that the Nuggets have just performed risks taking on a completely different resonance. Indeed, two newcomers are about to land in Colorado according to Shams Charania!

Denver is reportedly set to trade Monte Morris and Will Barton to Washington in a deal to acquire Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith, sources tell The Athletic and Stadium.

Pushed towards the exit since the end of the season, Monte Morris and Will Barton would thus act as bargaining chips to recover two interesting elements from the Wizards. First of all, the 3&D profile of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope appears as a big reinforcement for Nikola Jokic and his band. At the same time, Ish Smith could be used as a solid backup in the lead…and make league history at the same time!

If Ish Smith plays just one game with Denver, he would break the NBA record for most franchises a player has played in, with 13.

Journeyman par excellence, Smith would therefore be about to discover his 13th NBA team, an unrivaled mark. For this, however, he will have to wear the colors of the Nuggets at least once. However, his non-guaranteed contract for next season could still be cut by his new leaders, which would allow them to offer a full mid-level exception to a free agent. Caution is therefore still required in this case!

In addition to the intriguing arrival of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Nuggets could therefore allow Ish Smith to put his name on the league shelves. Unfortunately, not sure if this is part of their off-season plans!
