30. Utah Jazz
Why do you have to watch them? Already that no one wanted to see them play when there was still Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell… the only reason to plug in his League Pass is to witness the rebirth of Lauri Markkanen up close before the franchise puts him to rest at the end march in an attempt to recover Victor Wembanyama.
29.Washington Wizards
Why you should watch them ? Because it’s going to be funny watching them try to win games while everyone else is trying to lose…but still lose them. Then seeing them try to trade Bradley Beal realizing their mistake, but remembering that they gave him a no-trade clause. For those who know, the development of Deni Avdija may also be quite interesting.
28. San Antonio Spurs
Why do you have to watch them? To understand who will be the future teammates of “Wemby. And for Keldon Johnson’s fat tomars.
27. Oklahoma City Thunder
Why do you have to watch them? Because there is a day when the Thunder will try to win games and we can finally know if all these young prospects can really hold the road. And then, just to see Josh Giddey, hair in the wind, finding impossible passing angles.
26. Detroit Pistons
Why do you have to watch them? Because seemingly nothing the reconstruction of the Pistons is starting to look bad and if Cade Cunningham confirms all the good that we think of him, Detroit could quickly become a “pebble in the shoe whose [pas mal d’équipes ne pourront se] undo”, to paraphrase the great French poet of the 20th century, Didier Morville.
25. Orlando Magic
Why do you have to watch them? Because Paolo Banchero can already cause trouble and Franz Wagner is a very handsome young basketball player. The rest might be ugly. Very ugly.
24. Houston Rockets
Why do you have to watch them? For the golden hands and the footwork of Alperen Sengun, which unfortunately we won’t see so often since it would mean putting the “Tanking for Wemby” project in jeopardy. Otherwise, Jabari Smith’s first steps and Jalen Green’s sophomore season will still be worth watching.
23. New York Knicks
Why do you have to watch them? Old addictions are treacherous. Every year we hope for a jolt from the Knicks to make us say that, that’s it, they’re back. And we are waiting for the intros of the Garden announcer who launches “YOUR. NEW. YORK. KNIIICKS” as if this season was going to be that of renewal. Because we also want to see if it wouldn’t be the one where RJ Barrett turns a corner and buys an All-Star costume. Apart from that…
22. Indiana Pacers
Why do you have to watch them? For Tyrese Haliburton and his association with Benedict Mathurin. On the other hand, it will quickly become ugly once Buddy Hield and Myles Turner have been transferred.
21.Chicago Bulls
Why do you have to watch them? Because Alex Caruso is still going to bring us some cult sequences of which he has the secret.
20. Charlotte Hornets
Why do you have to watch them? As long as LaMelo Ball plays for the Hornets, Charlotte will have high highlight potential. Much higher than his number of victories.
19. Toronto Raptors
Why do you have to watch them? It’s young and it plays well! Toronto is clearly an underrated team. A five with five mobile exteriors that defend and run, that’s the kiff!
18. Atlanta Hawks
Why do you have to watch them? For the fresh tandem between two All-Stars in the backcourt. Will Dejounte Murray and Trae Young succeed in shining together? This will have to be followed carefully.
17. Sacramento Kings
Why do you have to watch them? Already, for the same reason that drives disaster movie fans to always watch the next one. We want to see how things will go downhill despite the good intentions at the start and the apparent quality of the squad. Then, because there are still intriguing players, in particular the rookie Keegan Murray, and real chances of going at least to the play-in tournament, 17 years after their last playoffs…
16. Boston Celtics
Why do you have to watch them? Because they are the title finalists; that before cracking in the finals, Jayson Tatum had signed crazy playoffs; that the mess behind the scenes will make for an exciting soap opera (make the popcorn); that the team will have to be more cohesive than ever; and that Jaylen Brown seems to have taken the trade rumors that surrounded him this summer as personally as Jordan with Isiah Thomas, Jerry Krause, Clyde Drexler, her hairdresser, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, the neighbor of a cousin of his grandfather, the Knicks…
15.Philadelphia Sixers
Why should you watch? The past few seasons have delivered a few trends that don’t work in Philly’s favor. It is more and more difficult to win with a big man who posts a lot (yes, he does not only do that) and who struggles to line up more than 60 matches; with Doc Rivers on his bench; with a ball-hogging and physically declining James Harden. But… but there is a universe where all that talent meshes well together and where the Sixers are unplayable and thrilling to watch – out of the 21 games the Franco-American-Cameroonian and the Barbu have played together, when they were together on the field, Philadelphia outscored its opponents by 15.5 pts on 100 possessions! No doubt this team will be interesting to follow… in the regular season. In the playoffs, Embiid will have to become a real leader and the Harden-Maxey backcourt will have to limit open house sessions.
14. Los Angeles Lakers
Why do you have to watch them? Because it’s shit in LA Well it was shit last year. New soap opera this season, with a renewed Russell Westbrook. How long will he hold? What is the ideal five for the Lakers? There are too many questions. Too many reasons to follow this team. Without even mentioning LeBron James who should become the leading scorer of all time this season.
13. Phoenix Suns
Why do you have to watch them? After all, it’s still a team capable of playing great basketball with Chris Paul in charge. Then we are not safe from a small beef between Deandre Ayton and Monty Williams.
12. Miami Heat
Why do you have to watch them? Because, like every year, whether they are ranked 6th or 1st in the East, no one is going to talk about the Miami Heat… Except the playoff teams who will do everything not to have to cross their path. Some “trust the process”, we “trust Spo’ and his twelve bastards”.
11. Memphis Grizzlies
Why do you have to watch them? Ja Morant is one of those players who alone justifies clicking on his team’s match on the League Pass. There is always this possibility that he takes off to try to slap a guy to whom he makes 30 centimeters and it’s quite enjoyable. Collectively and especially in the effort, Memphis was already a must last year and we want to see if it was an opportunistic season or a real sign for the present and the future. A bonus point for the spectacle is the sight of Steven Adams lifting 125kg humans as if they weigh 30.
10. Portland Trail Blazers
Why do you have to watch them? For Damian Lillard baby! Many have forgotten how much he can get fans off the ground. Not us. We can’t wait to find him in good shape on the court. The Blazers, it always sends heavy offensively. Even more with Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe alongside Dame DOLLA
9. Milwaukee Bucks
Why do you have to watch them? Maybe because it’s the team that will play until June and lift the NBA trophy. Basically, a regular season to observe them in order to fully understand the stakes of the playoffs.
8. Los Angeles Clippers
Why do you have to watch them? The deepest squad in the entire NBA! Perhaps one of the most intriguing teams as they can hurt the whole team.
7. Minnesota Timberwolves
Why do you have to watch them? One of the most intriguing teams to follow. From the cohabitation with KAT to the nascent connection with D-Lo, passing by the creepy prospects on “double drag” type actions with two bigs of this size, without forgetting the face that the Wolves defense can take, the arrival by Rudy Gobert should tip Minnesota into another dimension. Just like the development of Anthony Edwards. Offensively and defensively – he will always be naïve off-ball, but he seems determined to stop the best opposing outside team, night after night.
6. Brooklyn Nets
Why do you have to watch them? Everyone loves brothel. The NBA is entertainment. And Brooklyn became a Net(s)flix series. The explosion seems so close. Either it will be chaos quickly, or the Nets will assert themselves as one of the best teams in the league with three superstars. Either way, it’s worth a look.
5. Denver Nuggets
Why do you have to watch them? The smoothest game in the league after the Warriors. With a genius at the controls, Nikola Freaking Jokic. It will appeal to fans of beautiful basketball.
4. Cleveland Cavaliers
Why do you have to watch them? the Cavs were as surprising as they were good on defense last season and we really want to see if they can, Evan Mobley in the lead, keep this level, while integrating Donovan Mitchell. Mobley alone is worth the detour and we can’t wait to see how far he can go already in his sophomore season. Darius Garland who plays basketball is also a delight on the aesthetic level and there is no reason to deprive yourself of it.
3. Dallas Mavericks
Why do you have to watch them? Because every evening, we can witness a work of art. Because the Little Prince is still too talented and too fresh for his voir-esque attitude with refereeing to make us want to change the match – but the tipping point is approaching… Because we want to see him take control of the league. And because we want to see what J-Kidd can do for us so that these Mavs don’t drown by becoming a 3.0 version of Morey’s Rockets.
2. New Orleans Pelicans
Why do you have to watch them? Because there’s the return of Zion, of course, and those old-school power thrills he gave us the only season he played. But that’s not all ! The offensive power of the McCollum-Ingram tandem, the crazy defense of Herb Jones with his name as a jazzman from the 50s, but also the crooked interceptions of Jose “Grand Theft Alvarado”… In short, there is something to be entertained this season. And if it fails, there will always be exquisite Cajun food.
1. Golden State Warriors
Why do you have to watch them? The best team in the league, one of the most beautiful to see play, a Klay Thompson who could catch fire at any time, the crazy people of Stephen Curry, the most fantastic player in the world, the progression of young people like James Wiseman or Jonathan Kuminga, possible confusion between Draymond Green and any of his teammates… The Warriors are the unmissable base of the League Pass.
