Olympique de Marseille will not be able to keep William Saliba next season? This is announced by English journalist Chris Wheatley, a follower of Arsenal and who claims that he is close to an extension with the Gunners.
William Saliba has managed to revive with Olympique de Marseille! The French central defender even knew the international jersey thanks to his exceptional season with OM. Passed by OGC Nice and Saint-Etienne in France, he still belongs to Arsenal and should even stay there.
“William Saliba contract talks are going positively with the Frenchman expected to return for pre-season training soon. The French defender will be at Arsenal for the 2022-23 season, as confirmed by manager Mikel Arteta and those close to the player. Chris Wheatley – Source: Twitter

It disappoints me a bit of Saliba
A few days ago Jean Charles de Bono, former OM player and FCM consultant, mentioned the Saliba file. The latter had explained that he wanted to try to win at Arsenal next season.
“It disappoints me a bit with Saliba, hearing you say that because he proclaimed his love for OM so much, the last match when he returned to the field with euphoria, the next day or the day after he said “I want to stay at OM, it’s a club where it vibrates, there is the Champions League”. And there is a reversal of the situation. I don’t mind Arteta being able to say “Saliba now we want to keep him”. For Saliba I think it’s more a source of pride to want to return to Arsenal as he has played 0 games there. To say to myself today I have matured, I have played 52 games with Olympique de Marseille as a starter, I want to show my qualities at Arsenal and in England, I am an international. I think for him it’s a challenge. Finally, he shouldn’t have advanced too much at the end of the championship with Olympique de Marseille, that’s where I’m a little disappointed because he’s a player I admire and like very much. . » Jean-Charles de Bono Sources: Marseille Football Club (06/06/2022)
