Maria Emege : “In this handmade watercolor, I wanted to show some of the most iconic stars of the NBA who inspired me for different reasons: The historic leap from the tipoff of the NBA All-Star Game 2015 by brothers Dieselfor what he represented for the fans of NBA in Spain ; Kevin Durant for his moving speech MVP of the 2013-14 season; Stephen Curry for his ability to score three-pointers from crazy distance; Luka Doncic for the joy of having seen him grow so quickly and soar high since his years in Madrid; and lebron james…because he is an intergenerational icon whose impact goes beyond the pitch. I unified them all by waves of colors like their teams’ uniforms and by looking for the detail of their facial expressions and the movements of their bodies with the brush. »
