BDC recently completed a strategic review – setting a new ambition for the impact the bank wants to have on Canada and its entrepreneurs in the years to come. This strategic exercise has allowed BDC to define a new goal for the bank, “Leading the way for those who build a better world”, which truly strengthens BDC’s role in the Canadian ecosystem. In addition, BDC now has an ambitious goal in this regard, which it wishes to achieve through a series of four (4) fundamental missions that are essential to Canada and its entrepreneurs: Climate, Diversity, Growth and Productivity, and Better bank.

JOB OVERVIEW:

In support of the Impact program, the Manager, Marketing Campaigns will develop and oversee multi-channel campaigns aimed at improving business results and gaining greater visibility for Impact pilot projects. . The person we are looking for will work with cross-functional teams to provide strategic recommendations, design optimal 360 campaigns and oversee the management of each project in its entirety. All while ensuring quality execution and on time.

THE CHALLENGES TO BE MET:

  • Oversee end-to-end campaigns, from strategy development, to project management, to measuring results.

    • Define strategies; plan and design integrated marketing campaigns that will support Impact’s business objectives and key priorities (develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches, increase awareness and visibility, acquire new customers, generate more repeat and increase loyalty among existing BDC clients, etc.).
  • Execute, sequence and orchestrate multi-channel campaigns leveraging all available resources (email, social media, events, web, value-added content, digital advertising, Customer Contact Center, PR, etc.).
    • Supervise the implementation of marketing campaigns and choose, for each of them, the channels that will allow to obtain the best possible results.
    • Work closely with different teams, namely the teams responsible for branding and advertising, external and internal communications, content marketing and the digital experience; to provide briefs campaigns for the creation of relevant resources, tools and programs.
    • Liaise with regional marketing teams and field teams to ensure optimal deployment across regions.
  • Oversee campaign analysis and reporting to assess impact.
    • Set targets and oversee reporting through to completion of campaigns.
    • Link marketing and communications metrics to business impact.
    • Make recommendations on the campaign process and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and ROI.
  • Adopt the Agile method to increase collaboration, speed of execution and impact:
  • Lead a cross-functional team of experts, ensure constant improvement and iteration at every stage of a project or campaign and maximize collaboration within the team.
  • Provide recommendations on the design and execution of MarCom campaigns for continuous improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal person must be self-directed and able to balance complex strategic work with day-to-day execution and operations. With a strong client focus, this individual will be able to gain alignment from the leadership team and key stakeholders on campaign design and goals, and provide timely reporting on process and results. .

  • Do you have a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration or a related field?
  • Do you have 8-10 years of marketing and communications experience, primarily in the strategic area and in planning and implementing marketing campaigns aimed at improving business results?
  • Do you have strong time management, project management and organizational skills that allow you to prioritize and deliver results under pressure?
  • Do you have excellent business and marketing acumen and experience in leveraging various marketing channels?
  • Do you have a good understanding of marketing segmentation, CRM databases and other marketing platforms?
  • Do you have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills?

POSITION OVERVIEW

Supporting the Impact program, the Marketing Campaign Manager will develop and oversee multi-channel campaigns to generate business results and greater visibility for Impact pilots’ initiatives. The candidate we are looking for will work with cross-functional teams to provide strategic recommendations, design and orchestrate optimal 360 campaigns, and manage each project in its entirety. All while delivering timely and high-quality execution.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET:

  • Oversee end-to-end campaigns, from strategy elaboration to project management and results measurement
  • Define strategy, plan and design integrated marketing campaigns that will support Impact business objectives and key priorities (develop go-to-market strategy for new product launches, increase awareness and visibility, acquire new clients, generate repeat business and retention among BDC client base, etc.)
  • Execute, sequence and orchestrate multi-channel campaigns leveraging all resources (email, social, web, content, paid digital, events, Client Contact Centre, PR, etc.)
    • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns and determine each campaign’s marketing mix of channels to maximize impact
    • Work closely with different teams: branding and advertising, external and internal communications, content and digital experience teams, providing campaign briefs for the creation of relevant campaign assets, tools and programs
    • Liaise with Field Marketing and regional teams to ensure optimal deployment in the regions
  • Oversee campaign analytics and reporting to measure impact:
    • Establish targets and oversee reporting through campaign completion
    • Identify the relationship between Marketing & Communications metrics and business impact
    • Make recommendations about campaign process and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and ROI
  • Adopt agile methodology to increase collaboration, velocity and impact
  • Lead a crss-functional team of subject matter experts, ensure continuous improvement and iteration at every stage of the project/campaign, and maximize collaboration within the team
  • Prvide recommendations on Marcom campaign design and execution for ongoing improvement

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is comfortable with balancing complex strategic work with day-to-day execution and operations. With a strong customer approach, the candidate will be able to obtain senior management and key stakeholder alignment on campaign design and objectives and provide timely reporting of process and results.
